Lab 10 - Chromosome Analysis & Sorting

This is an exciting hands-on lab. Starting with cells blocked in mitosis, you will isolate chromosomes, and stain them for analysis.  Participants will be divided into teams of two to prepare and analyze their own chromosome sample.  The critical steps of chromosome sorting will be covered as will instrumentation optimization – techniques useful for all types of analysis.
