What's New?

Positions Available in the NFCR:

The NFCR has several postdoctoral positions available in instrumentation and applications development. Candidates should have experience in fluorescence spectroscopy, analytical biochemistry, protein engineering, or molecular and genetic analysis. For more information please contact us at nfcr@lanl.gov and see the LANL Human Resources web site, www.hr.lanl.gov, for application procedures.

Currently Available:

Summary: Postdoctoral Positions in Biochemistry and Flow Cytometry: The Bioscience division (B-2 Group) is seeking highly motivated researchers for an immediate opening to work with our interdiciplinary team of Biochemists and Physical Scientists. This multidisciplinary team has interests ranging from physics to cellular biology and everthing in between. We are looking for scientists who are excited at the opportunity to work on a diverse set of problems from field based biosensors to cancer biology. We are specifically looking for physicists, engineers, and computer scientists who have a demonstrated track record in the development of biological and/or optical instrumentation. Preference will be given to those who have biological experience, but all are encouraged to apply. Suggested skills/Experience in the following areas: Electrical Circuit Design, Demonstrated Programming Experience, Microfabrication Techniques, Optical Design Experience, Fluidics.

Desired Skills: Biological experience, chemical experience, demonstrated experience in manuscript preparation, and system modeling.

Education: PhD in related field completed within the last 5 years or soon to be completed is required.
