Flow cytometry is rapidly evolving as an efficient high throughput, high content analysis platform for screening large collections of molecules to discover novel molecular probes and drugs. In this lab participants will learn essential concepts and techniques, some unique to flow cytometry, for conducting a successful screening campaign. Teams of participants will get hands-on experience in building and analyzing a high-throughput, bead-based screen in 96-well format. The lab will be conducted in the University of New Mexico Center for Molecular Discovery, a specialty center for flow cytometry screening in the NIH Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network.
